Monkeys, Money and Mahabalipuram

All of this was just some kind of "no other way, have to do" thing. It started when one of my colleagues changed his plan to accompany one of our guests on his local sight seeing. So i was put of for the task. the task of "entertaining".

Good thing about it, i had breakfast at pepe mexican in the ECR and the worst part, i lost my sunday! Hmm and so we started at 10 from shols and were at mahabalipuram by 10.45 in the morning. On the way he wondered about the resorts the beach parks and of course the amusement parks that cost dearer for a one night stay.

Thank God we travelled in a air conditioned indica, so we had a relief at times, after roaming around. so this municipality people collected a tariff of rs.10 for entering the place and then again for parking. Of course we bought a return ticket in the ECR toll for rs.45.

Thanks to the ASI - Archeological Survey of India had put a modest rs.10 as charge for entry to the remainings of the 9th century. So my fellow citizens as usual were roaming in and around. Family having their home made lemon rice and puliyogarai under the neem tree. And the local canines sleeping under the bushes, well they need some shade right!

This so called Shore temple is also a UNESCO heritage site. Just was wondering why people are standing near the fence thats away from the temple? Aha, there is a bikini clad foreigner on the beach! I love India ! You definitely can get something good to watch, when you see a crowd in India. They just rush for nothing and stare at times as if they have their life time to watch.

Monkeys, the reason for the blog, went on a loot in the park surrounding the light house. Yup they looted my mineral water bottle and of course i gave my mirinda out of courtesy....ha ha ha. They didn't find any difficulty in opening the bottle, when i at most times fight with the bottle to open it.

So this monkeys had a sip of the mirinda and water but wasted most of them during the act. My guest was all happy in spending his money on buying cucumber and mango for the monkeys to feed on. Good about that, there's a well wisher.

Suddenly heard the lady say to me "Thambi, thanni packet vangi podunga punniyam kidaikum". (Brother give them water packets and you will get blessings!). Well of course i bought some water packets for the monkeys for their well being. After all they feel thirst too.

But i Said inside "Punniyam thedura alavukku innum paavatha sambadhikala!" (Not yet have earned so much sin to crave for blessings!)
